Director Bio:
John L. Terry, III

John is a Regional Director with the National Security Alliance, and is certified in both their Kid-Safe and Women-Safe programs.  He is also a Chaplain with the Christian Black Belt Association / Martial Arts Chaplains Association, an ordained minister, and a martial arts / self-defense instructor.  

A long time resident of Russellville AR, John is a graduate of Russellville High School and Arkansas Tech University and is the owner of IMGA Financial Group, a financial services firm specializing in investment, retirement and estate planning.  He is also co-owner of River Valley Martial Arts in Russellville.
John is married, and has six children.  He has served as a Youth Pastor, Campus Minister, and Senior Pastor, and currently serves on the executive boards of Cross and Shield Ministries (Russellville, AR) and Soul Food Cafe Mission (Conway, AR).  He is a certified Karate for Christ International Instructor, and a member of Grace Martial Arts Fellowship, International Martial Arts Council, International Karate Association, Valadez Kenpo Association, Christian Martial Arts Network,  and The Defenders.  John is also a FITour certified Personal Trainer and Youth Fitness Instructor.

John is also an individual member of the National Crime Prevention Council’s National Crime Prevention Association (NCPA), and has successfully completed “Stewards of Chidlren” training through Darkness To Light, a national non-profit committed to confronting child sexual abuse through educating adults on steps they can take to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to the reality of child abuse.

John was inducted into the US Martial Arts Hall of Fame in August, 2008 for his Kid-Safe and Women-Safe advocacy work throughout the nation.
